I was born and
raised in San Diego, California
My goal is to
work on business side in the sports and entertainment industry somewhere in
Southern California
I have interned
for the Los Angeles Rams, Madison Square Garden, and the USC Athletic
Department and plan to leverage the connections I made with those companies
into getting a full time job somewhere within the industry
My dad is a very
fun guy who doesn’t take himself too seriously but is also very driven and always
wanted to provide the best life possible for me and my 2 brothers. My mom is
the most selfless person I know who always puts others ahead of herself and is
without a doubt the hardest worker I know. I believe that I inherited my dad’s
trait of not taking life too seriously and have the work ethic that my mom has.
My parents both
grew up with the expectation that you go to school and then go to work at
whatever company hires you. I, on the other hand, have taken a different path
where I spent a year in Paris immediately following high school and am pursuing
a career in the industry I’m most passionate about regardless of the salary
that comes with it.
I believe that I
am operating under my own expectations of myself. I have always held myself to
the highest of standards and won’t be satisfied unless I meet my high
expectations. Because of this, I don’t believe that I’ve ever needed anyone
else to have high expectations of me in order to motivate myself.
My 30-year old
cousin has served as a model to me. He is very successful options trader in
Chicago and has successfully figured out how to balance having a successful
career but also living life to the fullest by traveling frequently. The
work-life balance that he has is one that I aspire to have as well.
I believe that I
am most connected to a monkey. Monkeys are very carefree animals that love to
have fun but if they feel disrespected or if someone comes after one of their
own then they will quickly turn and defend themselves. I believe that I share
those same traits of enjoying life and having fun but if someone comes after my
friends or me then my personality changes very quickly.
The house I grew
up in had a huge tree right across the street from it and my brothers and I
used that tree in some way for just about every game we played. Unfortunately,
the neighbors who’s property the tree was on got annoyed with how much we
played on their lawn that they eventually had the tree removed. That tree
signified a large part of my upbringing playing games with my brothers and
neighbors and we were all heartbroken by our neighbor’s overreaction of
removing it entirely.

Hey Christian,
ReplyDeleteCool that you're from San Diego. My mom actually grew up in Coronado! I haven't spent much time there but she says it's really beautiful.
